Technically my second but first in a non-student film!
ONLY 4 MONTHS IN?
Is this normal? They told me that becoming an actress was hard and full of rejections. And although I don’t mind the few rejections encountered, I have felt like I needed to chill out on applying as I was actually getting the roles! AND NOW THIS?! My 1st ever lead role! In a non-student production?! I AM OVER THE MOON!!!
CHOSEN AMONGST 50 APPLICANTS
When the director revealed that my co-star and myself were chosen out of 50 actors, I was taken aback. Up until that moment, I have had the roles I got through miracles or people not showing up. Never was I told that I got chosen. It made me feel that I was not an idiot after all, for going after my career as an actress. It filled my heart with joy and hope. I am beyond grateful. My first ever main character moment.
SOUTH OF FRANCE
My travel and living expenses will be paid for. I will be filming in Carcassonne, in the medieval village of Alet-Les-Bains. This sounds like a dream to me. Only 4 months in and this happens. I am still baffled.
2022 is truly an eventful year.
